A safe and secure working environment is our primary goal. Everyone should return home at the end of each day to their friends and family unharmed. With this aim in mind, we invest heavily in accredited, high quality and safety training.
We have invested in developing our own bespoke training programme for Site Managers. All our Site Managers have been through this eight-modular programme and each year this programme is rolled out for all new starters. The programme covers modules such as Lean Construction and leadership standards, but also aims to train our site managers on the Total Group way of doing things.
Total recognise the value of encouraging our staff to pursue formal qualifications and Chartered status. We encourage everyone to achieve professional qualifications and employees can request study leave for professional body examinations.
By studying and gaining higher level educational qualifications in their relevant subject area, our employees are better equipped to work at the highest possible professional level delivering a first-class service to our clients.
We encourage our employees to work towards achieving a Chartered status as a professional body (e.g., CIOB, RICS, CIPD, CIPS, RIBA, RIBAI ETC.) and we meet the annual membership fees for our employees.
By employing Chartered professionals who have gained a specific level of skill or competence in a particular field of work, we receive help from the industry best practice and the best-in-class professional services that bring into our organisation. Such standards and the associated framework give assurances to our stakeholders and clients that we will be supplying a professional service.
Total are working towards being a Chartered CIOB Company and currently hold CIOB training partner status.
